Our Team
Brushworx was co-founded in 2006 by Christine Pay and Patti Simmons when we met by divine appointment. By being grounded by our solid faith in God and driven by our passion for hair and makeup artistry, our dream has become a reality that now includes 17 artists on the team. We have also expanded to include a Brushworx in the Milwaukee/Chicago area !
At the heart of Brushworx is our deep commitment to creating an exciting and joyful experience that our brides will look back on for years to come. Because we love what we do so much, you are never ‘just another bride’ to us.
Our love of family and legacy has also created a feeling of belonging for our team. It has always been our mission to empower and encourage our artists to become the best at what they do. It’s that ‘We over Me’ attitude and spirit of inclusion that leads our artists to stay with us year after year.
Christine Pay - Founder
Talented, easy-going, and a great listener. Her calm demeanor has won the hearts of many a bride! As a Master Cosmetologist for 32 years, she has created hundreds of stunning bridal styles that have been featured in publications nationally and internationally. Christine is the driving force behind our social media, business mentoring, content for our affiliates, and making sure our teams are up to date on hair and makeup trends.
Her time away from Brushworx is spent reading, working out, and coaching women in business as a certified Life/Business coach. She is married to her Aussie husband (yes, he does have that great accent!) and is the mother to three boys.
Patti Simmons - Founder
Patti has been providing professional hair and makeup services to clients across the country for over 20 years. She is personable, detail-oriented, and intuitive. Perfection is her goal, giving 100% to every bride. Her kind words of encouragement are sure to put a smile on your face. Patti has advanced training with some of the top makeup artists in the country making her one of the best in the business. She’s a Former Miss Georgia USA 2000 & 3rd runner up at Miss USA, as well as having a professional model/actress career.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta she married her best friend/husband in 2002. She is a devoted wife and a loving mother of 2 daughters and has 2 Shih Tzu’s. Their family enjoys being involved in various church activities, traveling, playing sports, and spending time together.
Fathia
Fathia is known for taking hair and makeup to the next level, through the creative direction in bridal and fashion photoshoots. Her work is highly recognized among many artists in the entertainment and bridal industries. She is a consummate professional, whose attention to detail has enabled her to build a clientele of high-profile professionals. Fathia specializes in bridal hair and makeup, and thoroughly enjoys being a part of the Brushworx team.
KISHA
Kisha has been in the beauty industry for 18 years.Her gift as a talented makeup artist and hairstylist has given her the ability to transform women from ordinary to extraordinary. She is a true artist in every way! Her work has been published numerous times and she has ever won multiple awards worldwide for her special effects makeup on film.
MARIA
Maria’s career as a professional makeup artist started in 2005 for a well-known premium retail cosmetic vendor. Since then she has gained experience working in all media. She has worked on fashion shows for Saks Fifth Avenue, San Juan fashion week, and done makeup for numerous photo shoots and video productions. Maria’s passion for making women feel and look their best led her to bridal makeup. Her greatest strength is in her ability to listen to her clients and work with them to achieve the look they want. While her energy and creativity drive her to remain cutting edge, her professionalism, skill, and laid-back personality enable her to master any situation.
Gillian
Gillian lives in the Suwanee/Sugar Hill area and has a 4 year old daughter she’s teaching the ropes to! Her mother is a very talented artist and she grew up with a strong sense of color, art, blending, and brushes. She took what she learned from painting with her all those years and made it relevant to what she had a passion for. She went to school for skincare aesthetics and has been a part of this industry for over 15 years. She has worked for several lines and has spent the last 11 years as a Business Manager for M.A.C Cosmetics. She is advanced 2 certified in artistry and part of a team that travels to different locations to lead industry events. Over the years she has trained and developed many M.A.C artists and stayed on top of ever-changing trends. She specializes in beauty and bridal looks and takes pride in her experience and ability to deliver flawless applications with people of every age, complexion, and skin tone. Makeup has always been a part of who she is not just what she does. The power makeup has to express style, fashion, and individuality, whether it’s bold, understated, or somewhere in between fascinates her. She is so excited to be a part of the Brushworx team and looks forward to working with you!
Makaila
Makaila Parson is a licensed aesthetician and make up artist. She’s been in the beauty industry for over 17 years! Her specialty is natural glam and she loves working with bridal parties and on photo shoots. A project she’s extremely proud of is being the key makeup artist and senior creative director on Urban Lux magazine holiday edition. During her free time she’s selling real estate, spending quality time with her family and shopping!
Natalie
Natalie Merritt is the salon owner of Serein Salon in Sugar Hill. Relocated from Wisconsin, she has been a stylist in the Atlanta area for nearly 20 years. With her eye for originality, she has a passion for listening to and creating for her clients. Natalie expanded her love for creating into the bridal industry almost 10 years ago. Since then she has freelanced for Atlanta-based on-location bridal hair and makeup companies. She loves working with the Brushworx team, using her hair and makeup talents for bridal parties. Her calm demeanor is a welcome presence to her clients. She thoroughly enjoys being part of the big day!
Christine
Christine is a master cosmetologist in the beauty industry, with almost 20 years of experience as a hairstylist and makeup artist. As a former District trainer for both MAC cosmetics & Sephora Christine has been able to develop the ability to work with various face/eye shapes and skin types/completions. Her work has also been featured on Vh1, Bravo, TNT, CNN & more. Nothing brings her more joy than doing hair and makeup for weddings! It’s not just about doing the services for her but it’s about her being a part of one of the most precious days in a bride’s life. When Christine is not providing glam to the world she enjoys being home with her son and husband. Another hobby of hers is traveling!
Rebecca
Clean, natural and soft glam are Rebecca's signature makeup styles. In the clients' eyes, Rebecca is very dedicated, talented and kind. Her professional knowledge and work ethic has earned her the trust of countless clients and colleagues over the years. In Rebecca's makeup and beauty philosophy, there is no one standard definition for beauty. Her goal in makeup is to always enhance and elevate your own features, not to change to a different person. Coming from an Asian background and spending the most important years in the U.S. grants her an integrated understanding of the aesthetics from different cultural backgrounds, which she utilizes in her work. When Rebecca is not working, she is cuddling with her dogs Cello and Sammi while sneezing (yes, she's allergic but she can't help), watching Formula 1, somewhere skiing, or looking for the next travel destination with her husband.
Rachel
Rachel Davis is a professional Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist from Guam. She has been doing hair, makeup, and skincare services since she was a child growing up in her Grandfathers barbershops then went on to professionally being licensed with over 10 years in the beauty industry! Rachel has worked globally from Spain to Gibraltar, Guam, and around the US. Her passion has landed her on live national television numerous times with NBC, ABC, FOX News, CMT, hundreds of weddings, publications, pageants, fashion shows, commercials, and films. She has worked for top luxury cosmetic brands Estee Lauder, Christian Dior, Tarte Cosmetics, and NARS Cosmetics. Some of her favorite activities outside of work includes baking, painting, going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with her family!
Gigi
Gigi is highly talented and accomplished in the beauty industry. She began her career at the prestigious Shanghai Theater Academy where she honed her skills and expertise in the transformative power of makeup, individual beauty, and self expression. She is a licensed esthetician and hair stylist. Her attention to detail and dedication to her craft make her an exceptional artist and her great sense of humor and love of service makes her a joy to be around!
Abby
Abby has been in the hair and makeup industry for 17 years. She loves helping the beauty that everyone holds on the inside come out and shine while seeing a vision come to life. Abby loves being part of the Brushworx family, and using her talents in hair and makeup on excited bridal parties. She thrives on the fun and organized chaos of a wedding day and loves every second of it. When Abby isn't working on beautiful wedding parties you can find her living her best life with her husband and twins.
Nisha
Nisha is a certified hair and makeup professional. She has always been passionate about beauty, fashion, and makeup! It's vitally important to her that her clients not only look amazing but that they feel amazing as well. Her extensive portfolio includes bridal,print work and runway, as well as working on tv and movies. She is a valued member of the Brushworx team!
Faith
Faith is a licensed Cosmetologist and has been doing hair since she was a child. From a very young age, she knew that this is what she was born to do! She has spunky energy combined with a patient nature. Her love of hair and makeup keeps her constantly educating herself on the latest techniques until she perfects them.
MELISSA
Melissa has been in the hair and makeup industry for over 15 years. Her work has been featured in many publications and websites across the country. Her search for a more creative endeavor brought her to the Brushworx team. Her great sense of humor, incredible talent, and ability to connect with people makes her a valuable part of the Brushworx Team. When she’s not at work she is a consummate DIY’er and mom of 3 amazing kids.
REBECCA
Rebecca has been a hairstylist for over 9 years and is a licensed Cosmetology Teacher.She regularly impresses people with her thirst for knowledge and ability to both copy a style and create her own. Her passion for bridal hair comes from her desire to make everyone feel as calm and comfortable as possible. Asking all the right questions and going through pictures to come with an idea to create the best possible style for every bride and bridesmaid. She strives to make everyone look and feel exceptionally beautiful.
Mimi
Mimi has been doing professional hair and makeup for over 10 years. It makes her so happy when she can help people look beautiful and feel their best on such an important day. She loves to see her brides walk down the aisle with confidence, grace, and beauty. She’s always had a passion for fashion and beauty. She trained in Fashion Marketing at the Art Institute of Atlanta. Additionally, in 2009, she took a series of intense bridal makeup and hair courses. Since then, she’s done hundreds of brides and models! When she doesn't have weddings, she enjoys traveling with my son, outdoor adventures, and trying out new restaurants
Melody
Melody has over 22 years in the beauty industry and is a professional makeup artist who loves to make her clients look and feel beautiful!! She has extensive makeup training and certifications. She has extensive makeup experience working on video and photo shoots and special event settings such as music awards weddings . She is a lover of coffee, home DIY projects and camping. “I am a girl mom of 2 so life can get kinda crazy around here but wouldn’t want to have it any other way”. Working with Brushworx has been amazing and love working with such a great team of artists!
Amy
Growing up in a photography family, Amy has been trained in vastly diversified hair and makeup looks. She is versatile and readily embraces evolving trends and fashions. Her skillset caters to mainly bridal, television shows, and actor’s headshot(s). Amy’s very passionate about her craft, detail-oriented, and is a perfectionist by nature. She uses this trifecta to channel her artistry to create looks that fully encompass the tone aligned with her client’s vision!
Maddie
Maddie’s always had a passion for doing makeup since she was a young girl and got her first job in the industry as a bridal makeup assistant early on in high-school. After getting her foot in the door, she became a lead makeup artist for many brides and bridal parties. In 2018, she went to Georgia Career Institute and graduated with her Esthetics License and practiced as a freelance makeup artist where she did makeup for photoshoots, campaigns, headshots, and weddings. Currently, she specializes in doing bridal makeup all across Georgia and has had the pleasure of being part of many special days. There's nothing that makes her happier than using her passion and watching her clients radiate with confidence and beauty.
Raven
Rae has been an esthetician for 6 years now. Her claim to fame has been eyelash extensions but her passion has always been makeup! She has enjoyed makeup ever since she got my first brush roughly 10 years ago. She prides herself on her knowledge of the beauty industry, she stays on trends, and she’s forever evolving. She loves all things beauty but she can say being a wedding makeup artist has brought her a lot of joy. She wears a lot of " hats" but when she’s not enjoying her craft she is a dedicated fur mom, adventurer, model, and entrepreneur.
Morgan
Morgan's journey into hair and makeup has been marked by a commitment to continuous learning and growth. Over the years, she has honed her skills through staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in the ever-evolving beauty industry. She has a passion for blending her creative flair with technical expertise to enhance the natural beauty of her clients. Her skills developed when she was a competitive dancer, where her fascination with transforming appearances ignited her passion for hair and makeup. Morgan is coming to us from the city of Charleston, South Carolina where she has experienced the innate ability to connect with her clients and understand their individual preferences. Her goal is to consistently create stunning looks that reflect her clients personalities and visions.
Georgeanna
Georgeanna is a professional hair and makeup with 15 years of experience in the beauty industry. After living and working in the entertainment industry for over a decade in Los Angeles, Georgeanna located back to her beautiful home state of Georgia to continue the career she loves so much. Georgeanna’s work includes numerous commercials and photo shoots with models, actresses, influencers and now, the Atlanta wedding circuit. For her, every occasion is a red carpet service. She believes in bringing the inner beauty out, specializing in natural glam with techniques she learned from being on several productions and studying under other professional artists in her field. Georgeanna is available for all your beauty service needs.
Samia
Samia is a licensed Cosmetologist and a seasoned Makeup artist with seven years of dedicated experience in the beauty industry. She has been doing makeup since she was a child. From a very young age, she knew that this is what she was born to do! Her great sense of humor, incredible talent, and ability to connect with people makes her a valuable part of the Brushworx Team. Her favorite part about working with brides and parties is showcases a rich tapestry of looks, illustrating her ability to tailor makeup to suit diverse skin tones, styles, and occasions. She loves to hear their love stories, especially about how they meet. When she’s not at work she enjoys traveling, eating out and being a mom of 3 amazing kids.
